Main routes
Ambangeg Trail (Tourist Trail)

Most popular and gentlest approach. Campsites before the summit; sunrise summit push for sea‑of‑clouds.
- Very cold at night—bring proper insulation; respect cut‑offs and Leave No Trace rules.
Akiki Trail (Killer Trail)
Strenuous18–24 km (point‑to‑point variants) • 1,200–1,600 m • 2–3 days
Steep, sustained ascent with pine and mossy forest; often combined Akiki up → Ambangeg down (traverse).
- For experienced hikers; train and pack light; weatherproof gear essential.
Getting there
- Manila → Baguio by bus; transfer to Bokod/Kabayan jump‑off (organized transport recommended).
- Operator packages commonly include park briefing, permits, guides, and jeepneys.
Where to stay
- Camping on designated sites; homestays/inns in Bokod or Kabayan pre/post hike.
- Baguio City for staging and gear rental (some shops).
